Introducing: the Rhythmic Lifestyle Challenge!

For those looking for more information on our brand new offering, the Rhythmic Lifestyle Challenge, this one is for you!

The Rhythmic Lifestyle Challenge (RLC) was created with two main goals: to share the fascinating connection to the elements that Ayurveda teaches us and how it can inform our daily choices, and to shake things up, challenge complacency and question what we accept in general as ‘good enough’, ‘healthy’, ‘this is all there is’. Here’s the secret: It’s not. There is more, there is a deeper level of body integrity and feeling really good in ourselves, much deeper than “healthy” or enough. See, our definition of health accepts illness and injury, as long as it is line with our expectations - some of which that I have noticed are: that health declines as we age (basically once we turn 20 we are past our prime and expect our health to decline! The trend to be falling apart by the time we are 30 is significant), that there are these ‘health surprises’ just lurking around and can fall on our laps at any time, and that health is only about… say 10% in our control. With this definition, of course we have little motivation to change it! Health is barely in our control, we are all declining, and SURPRISE! Significant health challenge!!

I digress. For now anyways. Back to the challenge - There are a bunch of other ideas out there, and I know there are a lot of quick fixes, too good to be true, supplement focused lifestyles out there too. What I love, love, LOVE about Ayurveda is it makes sense, it is coming into attunement with the elements that compose everything! That are the source of cycles and sun rises and rain storms and seasons and our allergies or lack there of and our ability to be deeply rested, focused, clear thinking and passionate human beings.

Aaaaannnnddd back to the challenge…. Here is what we talk about:

Each week is themed around an element:

1. Space - gain clarity on what you are doing, why you are doing it, and who you are becoming. Know that we have to create space for new things to come into existence by understanding that space precedes all other elements, we can then bring greater awareness into our actions by intentionally holding space rather than cluttering it.

2. Air - the wind, our intentions and integrity. We have space and we have a vision, and now we will explore how our choices around time, money, and energy (the three big objections) can lead us to our future evolved self or hinder our growth because they are out of integrity with this vision.

3. Fire - transformation and the process of liberating energy from its source. As we grow, we transform, liberation must occur. Here we dive into more Ayurveda, starting with what it is, and how starting on the inside with our digestion empowers our beings to move experiences through us and create more understanding within us rather than being 'baggage' that we carry around.

4. Water - the hero's journey. We look at how the most engaging human experience involves challenge and how the call to adventure is inevitable. With this, and recognizing where it has occurred in our lives and where we are currently in our cycle of the hero's journey, we can choose to enjoy the challenges that will come our way and prepare ourselves with informed self care practices.

5. Earth - grounded daily actions. We will bring in some habit science to help build what we have learned into our lives with ease. We will briefly explore 10 simple habits that bring our lives into greater rhythm, these are the habits that people explore further in the Foundations to Thrive Course that I offer. And we will look at the value of connecting to place, home and nature.

This is a self paced, self study course. Designed around weekly topics for about a month (but, do it how ever fast or slow, or multiple time you want). There is a private facebook group to connect to other people, a short video exploring these concepts each week and some journal prompts/worksheets to guide your journey. You can do it anytime, and 3-4 times a year I will run a ‘kick off’ and go live in the FB group each week to answer Q&As, guide deeper reflection, do live coaching to help folks break through any limitations, etc. First one is in May!

Send me an email with any further questions! My apologies for going all recipe blog on you earlier and sharing my life story before giving the details. Sorry not sorry I guess, or I would edit that out :). See you in the Challenge!
